Most sporting events it is hard to see the action because it is too far away or the crowds are too great and there is always someone standing in your way. For two days back at the end of April though I stood in the shadow of a stunning stately home, that sits proudly atop a hill, in glorious spring sunshine and watched world champions battle it out just a couple of yards away from where I sat on a grassy bank.
